im currently conditioning an IPA, my first batch. MY girlfriend got me the true brew kit for christmas and i bottled my first batch two days ago. I have only tasted the little i took out for the hydrometer reading, it tastes like an IPA! i was nervous it wouldnt. I am getting more ingrediants on firday. IM thinking about getting a carboy so that i can brew more often. Im deciding between a porter , brown ale or a red ale, any suggestions?

Also any suggestions for buying the carboy. I want to buy it so i can can be boiling and bottling on amore regular basis. I was wondering if i should justt get another fermenting bucket or go with the carboy and the two stage process.
Relax dont worry have a homebrew

That depends on how far into this hobby you want to get, and which direction you want to go; increase production rate, or getting more involved and in control of the finished product.

Either way, I would suggest getting a carboy (6.5 gallon). That gives you the option of using the carboy and the bucket both as primary fermenters for different batches, or you can use the bucket for a primary and the carboy as a secondary.

I LIKE ALL BEERS, well almost all.

I was planning on putting one beer in the bucket as the primary, and then a few days later put in the carboy as a seconday, but then make another beer with single stage in the bucket? is that good idea?
