I'm also of French ancestry, my mom's last name is Leduc and is from Rosemere, Quebec, but I live in Terre-Neuve (Newfoundland). I am fluently bilingual however, and I have an idea. Why was there steam when pouring into the primary?? Please tell me you cooled the wort before pouring?
