I am making my first BIAB hopefully tonight as a 1 gal wit. I am planning on steeping at 152 so my strike temp should be 164 and let steep for 45 min. Then bring to a boil and add hops as usual. I have a nylon bag for the grains plenty big enough. Any advice you all can offer on my first BIAB?

For a 1 gallon brew it might be a better idea to add your grist when the strike water is about 149, with the heat on low, and bring the temp slowly up to your target mash temp. Not sure if the strike water temp would drop as quickly as desired from 164 to 152 with your grain volume.

I'm assuming you are mashing, not steeping, in your brew pot.

actually, there is a thread for 1 gallon brewers which might have specific info that could Be of help to you.
