Ok I am about 2.5 weeks into fermentation with my first Hefe when I open it up, it still has the sulphur smell. This is normal right? If so, does that smell stick around even when you bottle? What is y'all's experience with this. Thanks!

I've done over 20 hefeweizens since I started brewing 2 years ago and I almost always bottle at 2 weeks time in the fermenter with most other ales going 3 weeks in the fermenter. The smell will often still be there when you open the fermenter but go ahead and bottle if you've reached your FG, it won't be in the bottle conditioned beer. I think it's just the remaining trapped gas but I've never once had the odor wind up in the glass.
