Hi all,

New to the forum, just completed my first batch of LME Amber Ale.

This forum was awesome in helping my complete my first batch.

It tastes decent, flat before bottling but that is normal I hope. Rather clear and slightly banana peel aroma, heard that could disappear during bottle conditioning.

Full speed ahead on the next batch!

YAYAH! You made beer. Congrats. Welcome to the forum. Keep it rollin with another batch. Whatcha going to make?

O and ya. It will take a solid 2-3 weeks before it is carbonated. You did add priming sugar, correct?

That banana peel aroma is likely due to high fermentation temps. One big thing to consider for your next batch is a temperature control method. Could be as simple as a swamp cooler or a fermentation chamber. You'll be amazed at how much better your second batch is.
