Total newbie!
Hi,
So I have successfully brewed a lovely Dutch pale ale in a Demijohn (1Gallon).
And a turbo cider - which I now understand adding the extra sugar was a bad idea (or a good one, depending on how you look at it!).
So I have upped my game and ordered a 25L fermenting bucket and looking at a larger lager brew.
Small problem, the largest pan I have for boiling is 6L, with three 2.5L
Meaning I can only have 13.5 L of boiled water ready at the same time.
Is there anything wrong with me brewing half, then boiling up the second half while the first sits in the (plastic) fermenter, cooling in an ice bath (with air tight lid on).
I wouldn’t add the yeast until the whole batch had cooled to the right temperature.
I haven’t got enough money left to buy a larger pan/kettle (or space to Lee it if I am honest!).
Thanks in advance!
