Sometimes the summers are getting warmer and some Finns have even grown grapes on the islands between Finland and Sweden. But since we are banned from commercially producing grape wine in Finland according to EU law, we got to drink something. Koskenkorva == vodka. Not made from potatoes, either!

A Russian friend's Russian wife described her mother being very good at making "moonshine" out of sugar and bread yeast. Seems that making it yourself, distillation and all, is legal in Russia. I tried some of it, and it wasn't the worst thing ever, but wasn't great either. I'd much sooner drink your Finnish wine ;)

I figure you could age some of it in a barrel like a proper wine. Oh wait. Then you'd have whiskey ;)

There cannot be not enough snacks,
There can only be not enough vodka.
There can be no silly jokes,
There can only be not enough vodka.
There can be no ugly women,
There can only be not enough vodka.
There cannot be too much vodka,
There can only be not enough vodka.
