Hey guys, had a stuck fermentation of a maibock. Pitched another 1338. It's still on top, but I don't think it has any more to go. It was an extract recipe originating at 1.071, it's at 1.019. Should I just siphon below the yeast or what?

Wait until the yeast settles to the bottom. I'd let it sit a week after you re-pitched at least. You're fine, the beer is done- just wait for the yeast to settle.

ok, well it has been fermenting for a week. would it help if i crash cooled it for 24 hrs?

A week total? With two yeast pitches?

If it's only been a week, walk away for at least 10 more days. Let the yeast finish up, flocculate and settle out. Then it can be racked if you want to use a secondary.

Haha... no no no a MONTH total, sorry that was unclear.
three weeks with original yeast, then pitched the new one and its been working for a week
