Hello everyone,
I've been lurking here for some time now, and I just brewed my 1st Beer on Saturday (10/25). I brewed the "Brew Hut (Dry Dock Brewing Co.) Apricot Blonde" (I figure I'd better start off with something the wife will like). :mug: It was so satisfying to go down to the basement the next morning to see that airlock just bubbling away! Just a little info on my setup, I'm currently brewing in a 32 qt kettle with a weldless thermometer and a bazooka screen. I made my own 35' immersion wort chiller, along with a 25' pre-chiller (in a bucket of ice water). I was amazed at how fast the chillers brought my wort from 212* down to 75* (about 15 minutes). Anyhow, I am very excited about this new hobby and I'm already thinking about my next Brew... Milk Stout maybe???

Cheers,
Devin M.:mug:

Welcome to the hobby. I live right near the brew hut and visit often. Now that you are in to homebrewing there is no going back. If you want to learn a lot and meet some other brewers in the area you should join a club there are a lot of good ones in the south metro area.

FINALLY! Home brewing has come back to Colorado! (WWE reference) You'll find all the info you can stand around here & then some. :mug:

Welcome to the hobby, and the group, from nearby Aurora :mug:

I love the Apricot Blonde, the BH guys are very helpful. Homebrewer's night is a great event if you have the opportunity.

Yeah, when I was over there they told me there's an event on November 1st. I'm gonna try to make it over there.
