Filter housing converted to...

So I scored a stainless filter housing http://www.cleanmywater.com/dmdocuments/Cartrige Filters/everpure/9400-00.pdf we changed out of a plane. I come upon these from time to time, but not often. I want to build a lauter grant at some point, but am not sure if this is too small for the task. I figure it probably holds just over a quart of liquid. My other option is to make a very nice hop back out of it with some slight modification by adding a perforated stainless disc to hold the hops in place. What do you guys think?

Looks like a Blichmann hop rocket, I have one.
See if it's the same size you can buy the screen from them if it is.
I use it prechiller and have used it as a hopback.

Blichmann jn typical Blichmann fashion doesn't give exact dimensions. Got any numbers for me?

I think I may have found a possible contender for my next house when I brew in the garage rather than out in the back yard. Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed
