Great site, do a lot surfing, but I have a specific question....

Here are a couple pics of my primary. Has a 60 Min IPA clone. 6 days in, what is the story behind the yeast (stuff) on the walls rising from the yeast cake? Thanks in advance. Also, I used Wyeast American Ale smack pack.

Its definitely just yeast thats sticking to the sides, and a lot of it. Nothing to worry about. How much did you pitch?

One smack pack. First time using a smack pack, usually use dry yeast. I let the smack pack swell up according to directions before I pitched.

Some other info I forgot. Ambient temp in fermenting closet 68 F.

Well, I am gonna wait for the beer to clear before dry hopping in the secondary. Maybe I can re-use this yeast for my next brew, have been doing some reading, but havent made that jump yet...
