so I just brewed my first batch ever on Sunday. all Is going well I have noticed my frementer stays at between 68-70*f at night and 70-72* during the day. Should I be worried about off flavors from the temp swing and getting to 72* during the day?

no you'll be fine. If active fermentation has begun your liquid temp will most likely be slightly higher than the ambient temp anyway. FWIW, fermentation is exothermic...

It really depends on the yeast. Since it sounds like you may be fermenting in the low 70's, the type of yeast can make a big difference.
