Hi All,
I've got a question that I think I already know the answer, but wanted to make sure?
I've converted my refrigerator to a fermentation chamber by using an Inkbird temp controller.
I live in Florida, so the outside ambient air temp is starting to get around the upper 50's to mid 60's at night.
I've got the inkbird set to 71°F, but have noticed the temp seems to stay around 68ish? Would this be because of the ambient air temp?
There is no heating element in this
set-up, so I'm thinking this is the reason for the stuck low temp?
Any ideas?
I brought the Wine into the house to continue fermenting at a warmer temp now. It hangs around 71° - 73° as a normal.
Let me know what you think?
Cheers!

Yea, the fridge can’t do anything to help warm it up. I purchased one of these:

Home Brew Heat Heating Belt Pad for Beer Wine Spirits fermenter +Thermometer Amazon.com

For my Beer fermenter and it does a great job. Just plug into the heater plug on the ink bird

To hold a constant temp you will need to calibrate controller i would place a couple of digital temp readers into the chamber and let the avg. of the 2 be your setpoint for calibrating the controller
