What are some of the ways you regulate your fermentation temps?

I planned on using a mini-fridge (even got the temp regulator) only problem is it is too small, the door won't shut. Being in Texas it is about to get really hot, and my house is hard to keep under 80f in the summer during the day.

I've thought about ice baths, but was wondering about getting a small freezer or something.

I've heard of people getting a deep freezer and just setting it on a high setting. I don't lagar and don't have to worry much about temps.

I use a 10 cubic foot chest freezer plugged into a RANCO external controller. I got them cheap on Craigslist/Ebay. I brew ales, and ferment in the low 60's with very good results.

+1 on freezer w/ temp control. less than 150 bucks when it was all said and done and my beer has never been better.

I've seen people build "extensions" with insulation foam for their minifridges so they can fit multiple fermenters. Someone on here has pictures of it but you'll have to dig them up. As long as its insulated I'd imagine the fridge wouldnt' have any problem maintaining a temp around 60degF if you double the size with this sort of extension.

I use a cube cooler with ice. With a bucket, I just place a towel over the top. For my better bottle (2nd) I made a foam top. Works good so far, but it hasn't got really hot yet. I live in a small 1 br apt. My brew equipment is already taking over the place. I need a garage bad.
