When I first made my cider . It bubbled away for 2 days and stopped, colour was dark sg 1.04 . I was thinking of bottling it then suddenly it has burst into life again and started bubbling sg 1.05. Is this what they call second fermentation, if not what has caused it to spring into life again. Does heat or light have an impact.

It's not possible that the SG went UP. Something is incorrect with your readings.

Light doesn't have an impact on fermentation, but it will ruin the cider so keep it out of the light by covering the fermenter with a blanket or towel.

Forgot to mention I am going the wild yeast route. I will cover it to keep the light out. Is there any reason why you have to leave it for 2 months before drinking

No, you can drink it today if you want.

But most people make sure it's done fermenting, and the enjoy it better when the cider clears. That takes time.
