purchased a 7cu ft freezer and installed an external thermostat to use as a fermentation chamber. do i need to install some sort of an airlock?

thanks for any input

made the mistake of taking a whiff. checking for the sulphur smell I've read about. thought I might pass out there for a second :)

Thanks - I had the same question after reading a kegerator conversion article in Septembers Brew Your Own magazine. They showed an airlock (as well as a thermowell) being installed on top of the kegerator. I understand that CO2 is produced, but I didn't think venting it from the fermentation chamber was necessary.
