Hey, Just curious if anyone knows anywhere that still has these in stock. Looking to pickup a couple for some experimentation.

I think I have a solution to the common issue everyone seems to have with the carboy walls not being at enough of an angle to correctly collect sentiment around the valve.

Well not only do I come off looking like a dick but I'm also intrigued. That is pretty cool. Dude...you could build that on the cheap.

That's what I was thinking. I just don't have access to any serious tools, just the regular old hand held stuff. Although if I could figure out how the racking cain goes through the valve but also allows the trud to be extracted, I would be half way there.

Never read a glowing review of them. Most people say they leak or at best they are just ok. Read threads below

I never used one, but if you're going to try, I'd do it in a better bottle. If that cane gets plugged with trub, well that's a damn big bottle bomb!

did you ever try this out? I had the exact same idea of using this with a demijohn. I came here hoping that someone else had already tried it.

I used one for years (since mid-90's) and had pretty good results with the setup. The only issue I had was that you needed to have it on a counter so that you could drain the wort into the keg. Also, a racking cane is used as the air lock, so that is a little tweaky. Recently I finally threw away the valve as I ordered a SS conical. However, I still use the stand to drain the StarSan from my carboys.

It looks like the company is still around and they still manufacture the stands, but I didn't see the control valve assembly:
