i'm new here, and pretty new to the brewing world.
I'm trying to build a brewing system that won't take up too much space.
so I've thought about buying a 10L-12L keg, and use it as sort of an all-in-one system.
here's the concept:
Using an electric heater I could heat the water for the mash. the grains will be in a net bag.
after the mesh - the grains will come out, and the heater will boil the liquid.
I could use a dipped coil to cool the liquid afterwards.
after that - adding the yeast - and that's it.
(this is the point to mention that the keg needs to be seal-able with the one-way valve, I think it's doable)
after the fermentation ends, instead of bottling - I add some sugar and seal the keg again.
once that's done - using a tap and a CO2 cartridge, I can pour beer directly from the keg.

the one thing that's bothering me is the residue from the entire processes that took place. those might spoil things for me.
What else am I missing? is there a reason not to do that?

You can use the CO2 generated from fermentation to carbonate the beer and skip the priming sugar. You’ll want to remove the beer from the yeast for serving though. Lots of people ferment in kegs and there’s no reason you couldn’t use one as a kettle too so the first part of your plan seems reasonable.
 
There is going to be a bunch of trub and yeast at the bottom of the keg. Most people leave most of the trub from the boil including all of the hop material and the hot and cold brake in the kettle when they transfer to the fermenter. As long as the dip tube is cut short, you won't get this in your beer since it settles out but it will affect the flavor. Some trub is good for yeast health but all that hop matter will add grassy flavors.
 
yea, the yeast cake will make a mess if shaken or such, lots of small particles for the co2 to form around and make a nice brown fountain.
