I buy mainly kits for my brewing, some I have liked, some that are very lacking in body and/or flavor for the price.

Which ones are your favorites, and which one have you not liked or had to add many "extras" to in order to get a good beer.

My Favs....Brewer's Best Falconare's Flight, AHB's Citra Ale, Northern's Dead Ringer, MoreBeer's Blind Pig.

Not good....Brewer's Best Witbier, AHB's Kalamazoo IPA, Morebeer's Hop Monthra.

MY best, Hopslam #2 clone....my recipie:D

I like to use cooper's OS cans for recipes. I've used the cooper's OS lager & OS draught to make many styles of ale, depending on what I add to it. The BB summer ale kit my wife brewed as her 1st was pretty good. I don't buy many kits,I just like to mix-n-match to make styles of ale I like.

AHS has a great Two Hearted clone kit and the BB Imperial Nut Brown was excellent.

Nrock, you should PM me or post your Hopslam recipe!

Here's the Hopslam Clone.

Yeast
Safale 05, use starter or 2 pks

Start boil with 9 gal, I actually ended up with almost 6 1/2 gal!!!

I also did one of these and substitued the Centennial with Cascade and Falconare's Flight hops and it was good as well.
