I'm only getting ready to bottle my 2nd batch, but I can already see how this bottle thing can get old pretty quick.

I'm like to dip my toes into the kegging realm. Not ready for a whole fridge and tap system yet, so I think I'd like to start with some 2.5g kegs and a CO2 cartridge system. I can just prime with sugar in the bottling bucket and then bottle half and keg half.

Any recommendations for a good 2.5g keg? Rubber or metals handles? Anything else to look for?

As I understand it, after conditioning for a couple weeks in the keg (like the bottles), just a couple shots with the CO2 injector and the beer should flow nicely? It seems almost too easy to get started....

thanks!

I have all 3 gal kegs (11). Ive purchased most of them from either Keg Connection or Beverage Elements. I've gotten a few here on HBT & traded an extra pump for a couple. All of mine have the metal handle and PRV's. The majority are the Italian made kegs.
I've had good service from both vendors but prices on 2.5 & 3 gal are high.
