Hi all,
I found this recipe here and brewed it:
"So I brewed what I'll consider my take on Fat tire, I wanted a bit more of the biscuit and no so sweet so:
2.5lbs Maris Otter
1lb Victory
1lb Biscuit
1/2 lb Crystal 20L
6oz lb Cara Munich
1/2 oz US Pearl (60)
3/4 oz Czech Saaz (60)
1oz Williamette (15)
1 gal @ 120F soak for 20
+1 gal and @ 150-152F for 60
+1 gal @ 170F sparge
boil for 60
+6lbs ultra light
WL001 @ 70
Any comments? Just finished last night, first time for a partial mash."
With all respect to the original poster\brewer I find it too sweet. Body is good, color ok, clarity pretty good, nose excellent, head beautiful but the taste is just sweeter than I expected. Is it the crystal? I don't care if its a match, but I had fat tire 2-3 years ago and I do not recall this flavor.
Any thoughts are appreciated. I'm just a little bummed, my last beer was so good ( dead guy clone)and this isn't so much.
Thanks for any help.
