The day started with 6 cases in stock/available and now there appears to be 3 bottles left. I think this is a Fantome first if it sells out before the days end and isnt restocked.

Seeing as though the simcoe and citra saisons are still available with a 2 bottle per person limit im quite surprised they didnt put a limit on this one as well.

Pretty much any time a new Fantome is released I have this internal struggle over how many to reserve before asking Jonathan to just top off the box with as many classic saisons that will fit.

Ive never been disappointed with that choice.
 
I don’t think it was a smaller batch, and it wasn’t exported, so probably just brewery and online store sales, shouldn’t be super limited.

Anyone try the dry hop ones yet?

Unsurprisingly, my secret Dany decoder ring must not have been functioning correctly when I read his message about it. I thought he said he was saving it for people who came directly to the brewery and only a select retailor or 2 would get a little to distribute outside the brewery.

Regardless, I cant express enough how much appreciation I have that Dany trusts in etre to get these bottles into the hands of his fans who are halfway around the world. Had this gone to Shelton, we wouldnt hear about it for ~6-8 months and then lord knows where it would end up other than their bar in DC....

When this box of anniversary, simcoe and citra arrive it will be like Christmas!

Is that all these are? Just dry hopped classic saison? I mean it makes sense based off their only being what? 650 of each bottle.

Trying to wrap my head around this one. The big difference is the dry, chalkdusty finish. I’ve never had a bottle of Printemps (or any other Tome) finish like a super dry sparkling wine.

Printemps and Hiver are the 2 regularly occuring Fantomes that I probably revist the least amount of times in Dany’s lineup. Having said that, I truly dont believe I have ever had the same or even similar experience between 2 bottles of Printemps. I really should get a couple more...

Is this bottle a recent/fresh purchase?

It was at least 2 years old. Should've checked the bottle and/or cork for a code but I forgot.

Which explains why when they opened they had 3 pages worth of vintage, seasonal and limited Cantillon, Drie Fonteinen and Fantome to offer.

I love the Sovereign, but I never try to order lambic there. I will occasionally buy a cool Tome, though. Prices are usually $25-30, so it's not bad at a bar.
 
Friends, it appears that ghost in the kettle and Fantome in flowers have arrived stateside. (At least in Massachusetts for the time being.)

If anyone spots these on the shelf and wants to help a fellow out, please let me know if we could do an exchange or if a pick it up for me bro is possible? Id like to get 2x of each of these. 1 for immediate drinkage and 1 for longer term storage.
 
Just opened a best before ‘22 Saison. It’s a bit herbal, grassy bitterness, light apple pie spice thing, faint berry notes. Got a couple more bottles to sit on since my Fantome rule is: always buy 3 then try 1 to see if I should buy more.

Has anyone had any Tomes that are best before ‘20-‘21 turn into anything really special yet? I feel like I haven’t had a bottle that’s contained any magick in a while. (My last fav release was Strange Ghost, send me all of them please if you have them on your shelves).

Honestly I don’t know if it was that the Sante 19, De Tous Le Djapes, Printemps, Desert Ghost, Strange Ghost, etc run of a few years ago just spoiled me, but I’m in the same boat as you right now....
 
Any idea if he is keeping some back for people who visit? Hoping to make it out there in May and this would be a great bottle to try!
