I'm building a mash tun from a 10 gallon igloo round cooler and accidentally (long story) ordered a 10 inch false bottom instead of what seems to be the recommended 12 inch. I'm wondering if I might have issues with grain getting through as the false bottom wouldn't have a flush fit. The FB is domed so maybe it'll be all good but was wondering if anybody has been down this road before. I appreciate any input

I have a 12" false bottom for a mash tun that is 13.5" diameter at the bottom. Translation, not snug in the slightest. I have had no issues with that setup because the weight of the grain and wort keep the FB pressed to the bottom, so no grain gets through around the edges. I say you're good to go.
