Extratct secondary timings (Hobgoblin)

Hi guys,

Just moved my Hobgoblin clone to secondary, I gave it 2 weeks in primary due to waiting for my secondary fermenter to turn up.

My question is,

How long should I leave it in secondary if it has had an extra week in primary?

The same?
Longer?
Shorter?

I've had a taste while taking hydro readings and i'm really pleased with how it's coming along. tastes very hobgobliny but the color seems to be quite far off. not that I care about the color.

Leave it until it is clear. If you were careful in the racking, one week might do it.

The colour should be a dark ruby red almost dark brown.
It will look almost black in the fermenter.

2 weeks is normal for a secondary but as david says leave it till it clears and all the sediment drops. You'll see it happening from the top down.
