I brewed a rye IPA and overshot ABV by a full percent. It was planned in Beersmith as 7.3% (6 gallon batch). I did a cereal mash with 3 lb. of rye berries and figured potential to be the same as using 3 lb. malted rye. Is it normal to get a much greater yield from a cereal mash? My system is dialed in and results have been very consistent until this batch. Thanks in advance for responses.
