Seems like every time I order a kit they have gone up in price at all the well known sites. :( Has anyone else noticed this increase?

I have to wait for a site special offer before I buy.

Also I see a lot of three gallon kits being offered that I don't remember seeing before.

Might have to go to BIAB to lessen the cost of my brewing. :mug:

I buy extract from Williams Brewing and haven't noticed much if any increase in the last year. Their kits seem pretty expensive, but I don't buy them. You could try their blended extract. They have different grain bills that can be used without specialty grains, so it's a little like a kit except you select the hops, yeast, boil gravity, and OG for the particular style you want, or to match your taste. It makes it pretty economical.

Can I ask what you think is expensive? I just bought from a local brew store a brown ale kit for $27 to do a 5 gallon batch. That does not seem bad to me. What are you paying?

I think most companies across the board are very close in price if you compare all the stuff in the kits. But to be honest..YES prices are going up EVERYWHERE.

Cheers
Jay
