Essential Oils and Kombucha?

I haven't been able to find much information about the use of essential oils in flavoring kombucha. Thought, questions, concerns?

Oils can turn rancid with time, especially with exposure to O2. I haven't experimented with this myself, but everything I've read has warned against using herbal teas due to this issue. If you do want to include some in your buch, I'd add them at bottling like you would sweetener and flavorings.
