I'm not backing up Chicago fans here, because they are mostly bandwagoners...But, it's widely known that the TV blackouts were infamously orchestrated by Bill Wirtz. He didn't give a sh!t about the team. He kept the Hawks off of tv because he wanted butts in seats, so that he could squeeze more blood out of that turnip.

Clearly he didn't understand the potential for, y'know, TV and advertising revenue. Not to mention putting money into free agents, scouts, coaches, etc. to make the team better so that folks would actually want to watch the games at all. Genius businessman.

I agree, and I've only been a Hawks bandwagoner for 30 some odd years.

You don't like Crosby based on the stupid whiney-sounding things the ultra-intelligent media gets him to say. That's cool. But how do you know what he's like in the dressing room, off the ice, etc? You don't.

Or the pissant little antics he has.. And youre really going to try and blame the media? I didnt realize the media was asking him questions as hes throwing his hands up because he fell and wanted someone to get a penalty because he got ice shavings on his clean jersey in the middle of a game...

Im sorry, i know hes a great player, but i dont like his antics or lack of professionalism, i wouldnt want him on my team

I'll revise my previous statement. He does an extremely good job of keeping his feet moving which helps him to draw a lot of penalties.

I've never really been one to complain about the ref's. I know we all do it from time to time, but the ref's are trying to give the pens a shot. Some of these calls are a joke. Hopefully we will see some consistency later in this game.

As was the interference call, and the holding call - and how come you get a slashing penalty if you break someone's stick with yours, but they don't get a slashing call when they break their own stick on your leg??

Anyway...Crosby is still choking himself out in front of the national audience.

i still dont think it's bruins in 4 but lets be serious tonight was awesome.

i wont take anything away from pitt in this game, you can't take a game to double overtime and then get told you got your **** handed to you... it was pretty even for the most part.

i was afraid because the bruins did get outplayed for the 3rd and most of the 1st OT... awesome determination and great fn goal to put the pens down 0 and 3...

and please PLEASE try and find a way to find a way to blame the refs for this one... there were some sensitive calls and some blown calls, but it easily went both ways

If Tukka doesn't get the jacket there's something terribly wrong with their system. He was effin' awesome the whole game. Penguins could have potted three or more goals if not for Rask going totally off in this game.

Pittsburg finally got their act together from the second period on. Frankly it was well received here, because we were getting totally jaded, but it's actually more interesting when there's an actual game going on

Still, one can imagine the Pittsburg tires got flattened by this. Writing on the wall and all that, it's over, they know it, it's just a matter of how many off days the Bruins will mark to heal up for the finals...
