I think it's funny the guy who lives in a town that's expansion team moved to Dallas and a new expansion team took it's place is ripping on the kings and pens who were part of the first expansion.

the pens came out taking runs at every chance and they got beat, bruins play a solid defensive game and keep constant pressure... hell of a win...


hopefully they can keep up the tempo at home. i'm sorry, the pens can't hang at this speed. being physical and quick and calm breakouts are making boston lethal

you can have a point in complaining about refs if its a tight 1 goal game where a power play was the decision maker...or if the hawks hadn't made the conference finals because of that crazy blown call that lead to overtime...

1. You're an idiot
2. Boston is no dirtier than pittsburgh
3. Still cant blames refs on a game that was a 3-0 blowout
4. Everyone gets crosschecked at the end of every play (ie. krejci being leveled by orpik after an icing call because he coasted by orpik after trying to negate the icing)
5. Pittsburgh isnt being lazy, dont make excuses, no one is "lazy" for 2 straight games on the conference finals, you are being outplayed, not lazy

Such a consitent lack of composure with so much talent can only be blamed on coaching and culture.

Hopefully this is a replay of the 09 cup finals where the pens lost the first two and came back to win it. If not l don't think Bylsma is long for this world..at least he shouldn't be.

Agreed. I'm pulling for a Chi/Bos Final because the other alternative is playing one of the most unprofessional teams in the league in the Finals. And having to listen to Sindey and all their fans whine and cry about officiating and rough play.

Couple points guys:
1) Sidney Crosby, while talented, is a pitiful captain/team leader and will continue to cost the Pens meaningful games.
2) Officiating is lax in the POs. Always has been. Always will be. Play hockey or GTFO.
3) Lack of leadership and lack of effort are what is costing the Pens a chance, not the way the games are being called.
4) Excuses are like ********, and whereas they seem like a way of life in Pittsburgh hockey, they all stink.

Not sure why everyone seems to think Sid isn't a good captain/leader. He's basically won every meaningful award in hockey, while being pinned as the team's best player EVERY SINGLE TIME. That's a hell of a lot of pressure to lug around on your shoulders, and he's found a way to win everything.

Pretty impressive, even if you dislike him for whatever reason.

But I guess that's what a C is for - to take all that blame when your entire team plays like garbage.

Crosby's definitely talented, very talented. But he lacks composure. When his team most needs him to step up and be a leader, he loses his cool and hurts his team. I also find it very unprofessional when he whines about officiating when he himself has been the beneficiary of lax non-calls. Or when he kicks sticks, or elbows goalies after the period horn.
