I would agree with you if the poor officiating didn't "seem" so one sided. Oh, and they did suspend Ovi "in the regular season" while he wasnt producing worth of d!ck. Second round playoffs is a diff story. Same hit, different story..............

I believe he's been suspended 3 times. Once for a knee to knee hit, once for boarding (I think he seriously hurt someone on this one but I don't remember who) and once for charging. There may be more but those 3 I remember so I wouldn't say the NHL is afraid to suspend him. And as everyone else is saying, quit your whining, there is no conspiracy.

Exactly my point. But Hagelin, first time offender........... 3 games?

That's because the flyers are on the receiving end the officials gifts this series, still down 1 game.

And you continue to make things worse for yourself. Now your complaining about a conspiracy for the Flyers as a fan of a team who who should probably hate the Flyers.

Go Kings!! Man, they look good....

Yes they do. Congrats. They played amazing and deserved the sweep. Good on them.

Hope the blues learn from this and come back hungrier next year.

La and Phoenix, unbelievable.

Phoenix hasn't won just yet.

The Kings are playing incredible though. Playoff hockey as it should be played. An 8th-seeded team taking out #1 and #2 with only a single loss between them? Just insane. Vancouver can now feel a little less embarrassed.

I don't know how often a bottom-seeded team who just barely made it into the playoffs has won the Cup, but if LA keeps playing the way they have been, there's no doubt in my mind they'll win it all.

An interesting thing to note is that, if Phoenix moves on, the Torres suspension is really going to hurt them. They *need* players like him to deal with such a physical team as LA... that's really why they acquired him in the first place. I don't really think they'd stand a chance either way, though.

Not calling it a conspiracy, just ****ty lopsided officiating. I'm just pointing out the reason ur not bitchin is becuase the flyers are getting the calls this series.

If there's any conspiracy going on, it's Phoenix winning when they shouldn't. Who owns them again??

That would have to be the most epic collapse ever, Nashville doesn't have the firepower to win 4 in a row.

They "only" need to win 3...

Bettman hates the Devils, if anyone gets hosed it's them. They've been playing a different style than the Cup teams, at least this series. They're really not as painful to watch as y'all think.

I don't know, Smith is looking unbeatable for the most part as well. It will be an awesome series.

I have specifically said there have been some strange calls, but I don't think it's lopsided and crazy like you're sobbing about with the Rags/Caps.

Are you basing the officiating for the entire series based on two penalties called in OT in Game 3?

The Devils have not played at all like they normally do or like they have for the last 10 - 15 years of boring, trap hockey. They're forechecking and playing awesome and it's why their winning. They're not getting a one goal lead and then sitting on it for the duration of the game. They can't and they know that because Brodeur and the defense aren't what they used to be.

They're actually pretty entertaining and awesome to watch. I say that as a fan of the sport, not just a Flyers fan as they continue to challenge and beat the Flyers.

Flyers are working hard, cycling, and pushing back against the Devils' initial push and it's earned them two power plays, the second coming up after the commercial break.

There's no conspiracy going. The NHL and Bettman hate the Flyers. They have absolutely no reason to influence the game on behalf of the Flyers. There's not face of the league superstar in Philly to push for viewer ratings, so I'm really not sure where your silly ideas of an NHL-based agenda to help the Flyers is coming from. Are you out of tin foil hats again?

And that only took 7 seconds to go up 1-0. Keep it going boys. That's what they need to do, get traffic in front, and tip pucks. Pressure Marty and don't let the Devils continue to clear and ice the puck.

****GASP**** What's that? A Flyers penalty? No. Can't be. Look - it's on Lilja, who sucked bad in Game 3.

I think I'll start a mini riot in my firepit...

I think I'm on your ignore list, but I'll come over if the Flyers lose and we can drink beers and burn stuff. Sounds like a PBR in can event.

Someone tell him I'd like to be friendly and maybe we can try our internet-based hockey chat relationship again.

Giroux with a shorty!!!!!!! 2-0 Philly!!!

Flyers finally showed up to start a game. Keep it going, 60 minutes.

Guess Marty will be giving the gifts tonight, what a wasted effort by the Devs.

Dude, it's only 15 minutes into the game. And Marty didn't have much of a chance on either goal, especially the deflection on the first.

See....what did I just finish saying? It's 2-1. Ye of so little faith.

And that call on Hartnell for goaltender interference should negate the Rags fan's point that the Flyers are getting all the calls from the officials. That, was straight garbage.

IDK, by definition it probably was. It really bothers me though that Marty looks for it and then cries when it's not called after the puck goes in. Entertaining game so far, think the pace will continue?

Devils look great 90% of the time, this is not a "Devils" team. Just out working the Flyers, their forecheck looks just like the Flyers when they're on their game.

Flyers need to skate more and make smarter plays. They're not connecting on their passes and making bad reads.

If they skate, they can win. They keep half adding it, they'll be watching the devils celebrate in Philly.

Gotta say, I wouldn't mind losing to this Devils team and would love to see them come out of the east over NY or WSH

This is a must win for the flyers.

I think the winner of this game wins the series.

No, he was bumped in and Marty was pretty far out. It was a soft call and the puck was nowhere near the crease. If anything, incidental contact and play on. It's the playoffs.

Marty was whining about JVR in Game 1.

Definitely about the Devils not being a Devils team. They never outshoot the Flyers when they play their regularly scheduled game.

I really don't want to see any of the teams in the East beat the Flyers. I'd rather them lose in the finals. I have friends who are all fans of the other three remaining teams and I hate to hear their bullsh*t.

Flyers had a great shift going, and a terrible pinch attempt by Coburn, and after Bryz had kept them in this game, keeping it tied, that terrible, idiotic pinch attempt by Coburn leads to a Devils goal and they now trail 3-2.
