You really do have a persecution complex.
Here's the facts:
1. Laviolette gets pissed, throws a tantrum including taking Talbot's stick, whacking it with the result pieces of the stick fly all over the place.
2. Laviolette (the COACH, who is supposed to show his team RESTRAINT), gets up and stands on the end of the bench and starts yelling and reaching toward the Penguins bench.
3. Granato responds and tells Laviolette (Mr tantrum) to settle down and the two get in a verbal argument.
4. After the game, Laviolette continues his tantrum in the News Conference,
And your surprised that Laviolette got a bigger fine?
All in all, I think puck-daddy sized it up just about right: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/flyers-coach-laviolette-fined-10-000-tantrum-versus-214842940.html.
By the way, Hartnell (who isn't exactly my favorite), summed it up pretty well:
To be fair I don't care about either team. Whoever said they can't stand the Pens announcers, I'm with you 100% on that. They're as whiny as Crosby.
Yeah, I'm sorry but they have to be the worst in the league. Not only are the hypocrites, crying for every little thing, but yet they do the exact same thing, but they play the game dirty... They are always good to jump someone from behind, take a guy 3 on 1, wait until the ref is in between and then start punching... And this isn't just me "being a Flyers fan"... Ask any other team in the league, and they'll say exactly the same thing.
And Crosby, talking about the hit on Briere - Ok, the hit was clean for the most part... Danny needs to keep his head up... the contact was upper torso... But for Crosby to be grinning while crying after the game "Well maybe he shouldn't have been out on the ice if he couldn't take the hit"... Really? This ***** just pussed out for a season and a half because of incidental contact, and now he's going to sit there and shoot his mouth off about "not being on the ice for a hit"? Wow... just... wow...
Love the way Asham jumped Schenn from behind and started punching him in the back of the head... loved how the Pens assistant is the only one with balls enough to step up... love the way Crsby does whatever he wants, but when Schenn shoves him back, Crosby turns around with the dead horse look on his face, teeth sticking out like he expects a call... love the way everything against every other team is supposed to be a penalty, but the second they get one, they have to argue it aggressively...
Come on guys, I don't know if it's your coach teaching you this crap or what, but it isn't cool or respectable. EVERY team has dirty hits, players, etc.. but the Pens just seem to form into the mold for it. I always liked Neal, Sullivan, Niskanen, etc... but as soon as they went to Pitt, they changed... they got major attitudes, major egos, and they lost any sportsmanship they had... just something about that place I guess....

Personally, I'm planning a huge Leafs draft-lottery party. But it's doubtful that anyone will show up.
Not at all, considering it was the Flyers/Pens, the Flyers always get the extra.
Tell the wife to get her own laptop. Your discussing hockey, what takes priority?I'll look these over then. Wife needs the laptop to make thank you cards.
Will there be beer? Where is it?
Either way, copious servings of humble pie will be served and consumed.

Hockey makes me depressed. Lets go Blue Jays.

Maybe it's the Detroit fans who are jealous they're not in the East and no one really cares about the West because of the ridiculous time zones and times games start for us on the East.

I know who's name is on there 4 times since 97.
Love how you got sucked into a drunk troll post, love it!
Holy snot. Do you actually think anyone on this board is going to wade through all of that?
This is the obnoxious trash talk thread, right? Aren't most posts either ridiculous, drunk, or irrational by default?
I enjoy stirring the pot from time to time as much as anyone else.

Ur team sux. We r gonna win the cup!
That better?
That game wound down with the Flyers' Brayden Schenn whacking Sidney Crosby in the back as both skated to their benches -- not long after Crosby swung his stick at Schenn. With Arron Asham and Zac Rinaldo skirmishing. With Joe Vitale leveling the Flyers' Danny Briere with a hard hit at mid-ice, after Vitale put defenseman Nicklas Grossmann out of the game with an earlier hit.
Crosby also took offense to the "punk" label.
"My style is not different than a lot of guys to be honest," Crosby said. "I think if you're to look at the way I play, when I play the game I play to create offense and to score goals. If you are to dissect everything and show my responses to certain things sometimes, yeah I do certain things out there. But they're usually in response to two or three things that have been done prior to that. But you don't usually see that, you just usually see the response."
Crosby said he never has claimed to be nor does he view himself as a "sweet kid" on the ice and he had no issues with Schenn's cross-check.
"The cross-check that Schenn had, that's really not something that's out of the blue," Crosby said. "That happens pretty much every game to be honest with you and as far as me slashing someone, that's hockey. I guess I'm not a gentleman out there on the ice, I will say that. There are times where it's a contact sport and I do get involved myself sometimes. But I don't think I've gotten one penalty in a scrum since I've been back, so I just want to clarify that because I know that was something that was up for debate."
For all you b*tches who like Pittsburgh and think the Pens don't get away with murder....wah wah wah., ...for all of you who say I have persecution sydrome..... wah wah wah...
Bring on Saturday and the playoffs.
Settle down, take your pills or your hallucinations will get worse. You also better take your calming pills or your blood pressure might get the best of you and cause that stroke.
It will all be better soon, after the Flyers are playing Golf while the Penguins move on to face the next challenger. Just remember, there's always next year.

Flyers fans: playing the victim is getting old. Crosby is Crosby, as Gretzky was Gretzky, he'll get preferential treatment and less calls against him. Get over it.
We've still taken 4 out of 5 games this season against the pens, and have taken 5 in a row in their new arena. Until, they prove they can beat us what's the point in complaining ?
Oh yeah, and i'm loving Couturier shadowing Malkin. Kids only 19 and capable of shutting down the best in the game.![]()
I just enjoy the delusional ramblings of Pens fans who refuse to accept the reality that he does get that preferential treatment.
It's funny, they seem to not want to call penalties on Sid too often.
They just wait until after Sid does something then call someone else on the team for a makeup call. Usually a nonsense interference call
Sid breaking his own stick slashing Voracek had me cracking up.![]()
For all you b*tches who like Pittsburgh and think the Pens don't get away with murder, for all of you who say I have persecution sydrome or whatever you were rambling about, read this:
From the mouth of the horse's ass (picture that one) himself:
"Let's be honest," Crosby said. "Both teams bring out a lot of bad things in each other. You can sit there and put a microscope on every slash that goes on out there. The fact is both teams do it. That's going to happen when these teams play each other. I know that's probably the most hacks I've given out personally in a long time. So they seem to bring out the worst in me, too."
So, after bitching about the "cheap shot" he got from Schenn, which came after he had already whacked Schenn, and running his gutless ***** mouth about Briere shouldn't be on the ice if he can't take the hit (post game interview), after he just pussed out of a season and a half for a clean hit and incidental contact he took, THIS mother f*cker wants to make these comments. He admits to slashing, chopping, and whacking away all game, more than he has in a long time (read, since he last played when he was healthy), without a penalty. He has the balls to give that dumbfounded horse teeth filled mouth hanging open look like his mother was just run over by a bus, total disbelief, that Schenn would give him a cross check to the back and there was no call. It was the "C'mon guys, you're supposed to call that for me" look all after he took liberties all game that went unpenalized.
This is for the rest of the crybabies:
![]()
Unpenalized knee on knee hit by the way...
http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=625541
And Milburry apologized because Bettman made him, but here's Crosby's reaction:
See...he admits to slashing, getting in scrums (which he said he was going to stay out of because of his concussions) and does so without penalty.
http://espn.go.com/nhl/story/_/id/7770516/mike-milbury-apologizes-sidney-crosby-punk-remarks
Another admission to his antics that usually go unpenalized.
Keep telling yourself that Pittsburgh doesn't get preferential treatment. And after watching the video again of Laviolette, he did nothing more than Granato but break Talbot's self-described "good stick." And breaking a stick apparently warrants a fine 400% more.
Bring on these f*cks on Saturday and in the playoffs.
