Rangers up 1-0. I see the Pens have given up 2 leads tonight............
Please. While Paul S is annoying, Bob Errey has some of the best eyes in seeing things that others don't in the game. I know you would rather have the Phily announcers do the game.![]()
Rangers win 4-1, pulling away. New hats breaking in nicely........

Pens get a win also (5-3) over Buffalo, so the gap remains at 5, and the lead over Phily 4. Rangers and Penguins have 4 remaining, Flyers 5. It's going to be a brutal week for all involved:
Rangers remaining games:
Bruins @ Rangers (Sunday, 7 pm)
Rangers @ Philadelphia (Tuesday 7pm)
Rangers @ Penguins (Thursday, 7pm)
Capitals @ Rangers( Sat 7th, 6:30pm)
Penguins remaining games:
Philadelphia @ Pittsburgh (Sun, 1pm, NBC)
Penguins @ Bruins (Tuesday, 7pm)
Rangers @ Penguins (Thursday, 7pm)
Philadelphia @ Pittsburgh (Saturday 7th, 4pm NBC)
Flyers remaining games:
Ottawa @ Philadelphia (Sat 1pm, NHL Network)
Philadelphia @ Pittsburgh (Sun, 1pm, NBC)
Rangers @ Philadelphia (Tuesday 7pm)
Buffalo @ Philadelphia (Thursday, 7m)
Philadelphia @ Pittsburgh (Saturday 7th, 4pm NBC)
6 minutes from Detroit punching those wannabee Predators in the mouth.
Time to get serious...

How do you score three in the first and the get completely dominated the entirety of the rest of the game and say the opponent sucks?
How do you sneak out a shootout win because your goaltender has a horseshoe up his ass and say your opponent sucks?
Misguided Canadians.

4 is bigger than 3!! :rockin:
I hope the flyers get by the penguins so Ottawa can play them at some point in the playoffs....doubt they beat pittsburgh though....

kinda glad they're not first overall, that Presidents Cup has some bad ju-ju around it.
StittsvilleJames said:Ottawa didn't play there best, but really, Simmonds with the face goal? BS luck, can't spin it any other way.
Good teams find a way to win when faced with adversity. Flyers didn't. Ergo, not a good team.
The Sens have exceeded all expectation on them this year. Philadelphia is barely playing up to there expectations. And with the flaky goaltending from bryzgalov at best (Tell us about the universe again, you weirdo fruitcake) I don't think your team has a hope in hell of getting out of the first round.
Penguins in 5 in round 1, book it.
jtkratzer said:You realize the goal "awarded" for winning the shootout doesn't actually count as a goal scored for statistical purposes? It's merely an indicator of who won the shootout, so it's 3 = 3 and Ottawa did better in the shootout to win the game, but let's compare the rest of the game:
Flyers out shot, took fewer penalties, out hit, and won more faceoffs. They dominated Ottawa for he majority of the game after Ottawa took the 3-0 lead in the first. If you're happy with Ottawa's performance, based solely on the fact they got an extra point for winning the shootout...well, I guess when you're team rarely makes the playoffs, you have to look for silver linings somewhere.
Making it past the second round only twice since the '92-93 season is sad and I'd say that definitive means you suck more than the Flyers based on performance, records, and general success as compared to your definition based on a single shootout win.

By the way, the flyers might have won if Giroux had not been Mr fancy pants in his shoot out attempt.
That was a crazy @ss end to that game. Love the Hulk Johan reference. LMAO
Again, I think you're confused as Bob is backing the Flyers pretty well in this game against the Pens and the Flyers are dominating the Pens physically and on the scoreboard. 5 unanswered goals by the Flyers to go from down 0-2 to up 5-2 in less than 2 periods of hockey against the "hockey gods" is alright I guess.
Even with Gary's help of several non-calls on Malkin and Crosby in this game, the Flyers are doing just fine with the sissies and crybabies in Pittsburgh.
We'll see, but considering the season series between the Pens and Flyers is 4-1 with the Flyers outscoring the Pens 20-16, with flaky goaltending from Bob and Bryz, that says your theory is at least slightly flawed, based on recent history. None of those games went to a shootout, and both of the last two wins are with the Flyers coming from behind and the Pens are about to get their asses handed to them by the Flyers physically because everyone knows the Flyers are tougher.
Pittsburgh is a bunch of trash. Look at these whining b*tches complaining and throwing a fit because they didn't get their way this game or season against Philly. Asham started the second round by crossing the red line and going after Rinaldo after the initial scrum and tossings were handed out. This is Pittsburgh being Pittsburgh with their sense of entitlement.
Who is the Hulk Hogan ****** bag wanna-be Pens fan behind the Flyers' bench?
Your not biased for your team, eh? Maybe you really need to go back and look at the video again.
I know one thing...the series is going to be entertaining.
The Flyers are 5-0 at Consol Energy Center since it opened in October 2010...
Pittsburgh appeared on the verge of chasing down the New York Rangers for the top spot in the Eastern Conference a week ago.
...the Flyers erased a 2-0 deficit against Pittsburgh for the second time in two weeks. Philadelphia got a point with an overtime victory on March 18. Philadelphia got a point with an overtime victory on March 18.
No such dramatics were necessary this time. The Flyers dominated the final 20 minutes, beating Marc-Andre Fleury three times before Voracek's empty-netter to deny Fleury in his bid to tie Tom Barrasso's franchise mark of 226 career victories.

Hahaha! Even the head coach is a b*tch.
