On a side note, here is myself with my newborn daughter while watching the Blackhawks destroy the Capitals.

Jinx! blues are screwed now. Won't even pass first round

1st round is in the bag. Who are they gonna lose to? Calgary? San Jose? LA? Phoenix? I doubt it. The second round will be the tough one.

Side note - when Chicago wins next, the central will have 4 teams with 90+ points and an outside shot at 4 teams with 100+. Unbelievable division. I think the only team from the east that can compete is Pitt, especially with Crosby back.

No shít.

6-0 and the game isn't even halfway over.

Leafs seem dead. They're the faster team but have NO hussle. And the number of missed passes and turnovers makes me sick.

Ugh...

On the plus side, Gustavsson (replacing Reimer) has made some pretty nice saves, I guess.

My lack of participation in this thread is due to the fact that I have a baby coming and I'm racing to finish the basement and get the baby's room in order. Thus, Leaf games have become a record-and-watch-later thing for me.

This one took me about 10 minutes to watch though. What a mess. Surprised you stuck around that long!

This season vs. the Bruins the Leafs are 0-6-0, with 36GA and 10GF. Awesome :ban:

I gotta put my 2 cents in.... Go Blues! We don't need a superstar! Just have the best all-around players! Coaching makes a big difference. We may not win the cup, but at least we should go deep in the playoffs.

+ 1

The Leafs move one step further to a top-3 pick, and the Russian Glory that comes with it.

Pittsburgh though - wow. Unreal right now. Crosby appears to have developed a psychic bond with Malkin while recovering from his concussion.

I don't think the Pens players were very pleased losing to the Flyers with one second left in OT. Also, everyone of the Pens/Jets games this season has been an absolute goal fest...reminds me of the early 90's Pens.

Final score 8-4 Pens. Now 1 point back of the Rangers. Philadelphia now 4 back.

Not bothering to check if Columbus is within reach (doubt it), but at this point I'm actually hoping they just lose out. I mean 2-5 against the Islanders? They have no hope this season of getting anything together.

Kessel needs a Center that can keep up. Phaneuf is playing like absolute crap (he needs to be traded IMO), and we need a decent goalie. Draft pick can't fix all that, I fear. And the coaching even needs serious work... though at least that has a chance of improving.

Flyers vs. Panthers: Thank you Panthers!
That made me happy because I'm sure it made jtkratzer sad.

They might catch Edmonton, but no way they'll get to Columbus. Drafting in the top 3 could help this team tremendously.

It would just be sweet to tank lower than Montreal after all of this, since every fan I talk to is excited about their high draft pick.

Never saw a team crumble like this before. It's unreal.

Your lucky the Wild are out of your viewing area. They have won 10 games since December 10. That isn't even worth watch nor talking about that's why I've been quiet. Hopefully next season they learn to play hockey and stop with this push puck BS.

Detroit is a mash unit that can't win, but Nashville refuses to pass them in the standings. They're really going to need home ice to have a chance in the first round.

Start the excuses early. When the blues beat you this year en route to the cup, it will be payback for that Steve Yzermam slapshot from the redline many years back.

God damn Jon Casey. Still haunts me.

yeah, what's up with that. They started off the season amazingly, now they can't win a game.

What excuse? Half the team is out with injuries, the reality is, they're in big trouble.

Sadly, they were average when it was only Lidstrom out. They should be playing better even with Datsyuk and maybe even Howard out as well.

I fully expected STL to get much better with Hitchcock behind the bench, but damn! They are going to be a tough group to beat, but for now you gotta worry about just getting past Nashville, who has played us well all season anyway.

Just hoping the kids can pick it up and start getting some cohesion before the playoffs start.

As long as Halak and Elliott don't get hurt, we're in good shape. Steen practiced today and is close to returning, McDonald and Backes will be back either tonight or at the end of the trip, this is going to get interesting.

Rangers win!! Overtime goal by Callahan. 99 points, now 3 ahead of pitt. Guess its gonna take a little more time for Pittsburgh and philly to pass us!!!!!!!

Let's GO RANgERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am I reading this correctly?

Phoenix Coyotes forward Shane Doan has been suspended for three games and will forfeit $166,463.40 for elbowing Dallas Stars forward Jamie Benn during NHL Game #1094 in Dallas on Tuesday, March 20, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

Doan, who received a three-game suspension in October 2010, is classified as a repeat offender under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Accordingly, he forfeits his salary based on the number of games in the season (82), rather than the number of days (185). The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.

The incident occurred at 5:54 of the second period. Doan was assessed a minor penalty for elbowing on the play.

If Keith dosnt get something very similar there's some terrible things wrong with the way these fines/suspensions are dished.

Sorry no link im on my phone but just google 'sedin elbow'.

This is the sh@t that has no place in the game.

Keith is gunna have a terrible time explaining this one. The puck was no where near them.

No, I agree. I'm a Hawks fan but you have to be consistent with rule enforcement. Plus I really wish they had kept Campbell and traded Keith back in 2010. But I digress.
