Nevermind on how the Flyers are playing...just gave up two quick ones (0:25 apart) and it's now 4-4.

here come the hawks, the mighty blaaaa-ackhawks!! :ban: can't sit back on those guys with a 2 goal lead. :mug:
great game though, how bout that Seabrook goal?!

knowing our goaltending this year, we'll probably lose this one 6-4.... damn ameteurs.

How was his goal? I've got him on my fantasy team, hopefully he plays like he has the past few weeks the rest of the year.

no $h*t, right!!! it was a sweet li'l snapper that none saw coming. :rocking:

FWIW, if these guys keep playing like this, there's not too many teams that'll beat 'em, even with the pi$$ poor goaltending.

And the Flyers get a PP goal from JVR with 30 seconds left for the win. HAHAHAH!!! Go to hell Blackhawks. You were beaten by a better team. I got a goal, -2, and 2 PIMs from Kane.

beaten, yes.... better team, not so much. good team, great even, better, not so far this year. great game tho, huh?! :mug:

Really? Flyers are 2 points back with 2 games at hand, a better road record, with more spread out/balanced offense, more goals scored per game, better power play and penalty kill numbers, etc. They're doing that without their captain and probably top d-man.

They are a better team by the numbers. They have more regulation/OT wins and fewer regulation losses. It's not a huge difference, but they are better team statistically.

It was an awesome game. My boss was there and I didn't get to go because I had surgery today that went horribly wrong.

Seabrook still got me a goal, +2 and 3 hits.

Mez got me an assist, +1, 3 hits, 1 block. I'll take it.

I wish we had blocks in our league. We have game winning goals instead. I've won almost every week in that category, but my guys are pretty good shot blockers too.

We got rid of shots on goal from last year and added faceoff wins. We did rotisserie last year and head to head this year.

I'm in second by 9 points. If the current scores hold up, I'll take over first. How are you doing in your league?

And that's another 2 points for the blueshirts!! Ot win over Florida.

Gonna celebrate with one of my Chatoe Rogue Pale Ales and watch whats guaranteed to be an entertaining last episode of 24/7. Will be even better the second time!!!!

Oh, and I'm taking off work on Jan 21 to watch the Rangers v Bruins. Battle for east coast supremacy. It's gonna be WAR!!!!

actually, i think the flyers win tonight ties them at 52 pts. and you're right, the 'Hawks have been slipping and Philly's been playing much better of late. but i stand by my 'Hawks. i think they'll be there at the end of the season, and if Philly keeps it up, they will too. :mug:

you're boss is a lucky man! being a relocatee, i get to see the 'Hawks live a whole 2 games a year. least they win those two!! :ban:

Nah, still back by two, 50 for the Flyers, 52 for the Hawks. Flyers are 2-1 in their last three, but they were 2-4-1 over the seven before last night. They've had some ups and a few downs, but I'm pretty content with how they're doing and have been really surprised at what they're getting out of their rookies and young players. Not impressed at all so far with Bryzgalov. He's been night and day, on or off, inconsistent. There have been some goals that weren't his fault, but he was signed for the money to make the saves and win somewhere between 35-40+ games. His 3.01 GAA and .890 SV% aren't cutting it.

My sister moved out to the cities somewhere to go to grad school at the University of Minnesota. We used to live in New London for a few years in the early 90s.

We get to a good number of games. I was at the home opener and been to a few more in Philly and four of us drove to Montreal to see the Flyers beat the Habs in the last game Jacques Martin was the head coach.

I'm bummed...couldn't drink for a week from today if I wasn't having a second surgery next week, so it'll be at least a week from next Tuesday and my Franziskaner clone is carbed.

I've been bouncing around between 9th and 5th. 16 teams in our league, top 8 make the playoffs. I've been better as of late, but my D shvt the bed this year. Who thought Burns, Seabrook, and Johnson would all be playing so badly. Throw in Bobby Ryan and I'm lucky to be hanging in there.

I went 12-1 in fantasy football and lost in the first round because a lineup change didn't go through because of the lack of cell service at the moment I hit submit. Would have ended up in the championship round otherwise.

I wonder if Franzen's dad is taking the west coast road trip with the team this year. They have a tradition of taking fathers on a road trip each year, and last year Franzen scored like 5 goals in 1 game with his father in the crowd. That would be neat to see.

Got him on my roster, too. Let's see it.

Boston is insane. Really. A team that has it figured out 100%. They've got the perfect mix of role-players, stars, and goaltending it seems. Plus no injuries? WTF, to be so lucky...

If they can keep that team together for a few more years, what they'll be able to accomplish will be pretty ridiculous. Provided they get by the Leafs in the playoffs, that is...

Will we see a Van/Bos final again this year?
