I gotta give credit to the Wild for one thing at least:
They finally got rid of the horrific jerseys that plagued them for a few years. NOw they have mildly ugly jerseys.
And just in time for Christmas!

Not even close. Crosby is an exceptionally talented player, but Lindros was a feared physical force on the ice. Crosby's had a handful of fights in his career, Lindros had a handful in a single game occasionally.
They are entirely different players in an entirely different game. Can you imagine what a player like Lindros would do in this league without the clutching, grabbing, and hooking that was allowed when he played? He'd probably challenge for the Art Ross every year.
I'm not a huge Lindros fan and was frequently very critical of his game, but he and Crosby don't compare. He was a very special player we rarely see that is a dominating physical force and Art Ross capable at the same time. Lindros scored about 50 more goals, more points, and more than doubled Crosby's PIM total through about 415-430 games...right where Crosby's at for his NHL career...in a time when the average offense was way lower than it is now. Their point totals are comparable, but the style of play is way different. Ovechkin's physical play doesn't compare to how Lindros played.
I understand you're talking about concussions, but Lindros had what, 7? 8? I hope Crosby isn't finished, but it's not looking good that body contact brought the symptoms back.
Through Crosby's 420 NHL games and The first 431 Lindros played, they're within 0.0016 points per game of one another, Lindros barely ahead.

So many concussions. What's wrong with hockey?
That's because I'm much better at talking the game rather than getting mixed up in childish pissing contests. I'm a contributing member on hockey specific forum and the conversation there is usually amongst folks very knowledgeable about the game and there are rarely insults and bullsh*t. Some trash talk, definitely, but nothing stupid.
Lindros did have a problem keeping his head up and it cost him his career. Still would be awesome to see a guy with his stature, style, and talent get in the league today.

Goalie out of crease, gets run over, again. And of course, Dallas gets a power play. WTF!

jtkratzer said:Surprisingly, he seems to be the most consistent and put in a lot of offseason work this summer. An Ovechkin trade would be a tough sale, but he seems to be the one with the attitude problem this year and showing up to camp out of shape last year doesn't help his case.

Isn't that always the case?![]()
So, I'm enroute on my trip to The Canada, Montreal specifically, for the Flyers game tonight. Look for four obnoxious guys in The Orange & Black.
Suggestions for beers to try from the local area?

Anyone else catch 24/7 last night ? Granted I'm a Flyers fan, but I thought it was freaking amazing.
Bryzgalov is hilarious.
Avery laughing at Anisimov after his 'snipe' celly, and the following apology were great too.
Can't wait for next week.
