My buddies and I brewed an English Mild (the Mild Mannered recipe available here) and Scottish 60 Ale also available here, and Caribou Slobber which is a Moose Drool clone available from Northern Brewer.
My questions is these three beers seem similar. Is this true or am I just crazy?
English Mild
Low ABV
Low Carbonated
Seems best served just below room temp, otherwise flavors seem very muted
Scottish Ale
Med ABV
Low-Med Carbonated
Seems best served at slightly above fridge temp
This one seems like it has some cidery notes in it, but overall similar in style to the English Mild
Caribou Slobber
Med ABV
Should be normal Carbonated
The only tastes of this so far were hydrometer samples, it was bottled last night. It seems similar in nature to the other 2.
Again, just looking for other peoples opinions of these 3 beers and what their flavor profiles should be versus what I am tasting.
