I'm in the process of building my first eBrew system. And while browsing through my junk I found a few spare electric stove top elements (220V) hanging around in a box. Has anyone ever tried using one of those INSIDE the kettle?
I'm thinking that the long coil surface should make for a nice low density setup.
Obviously, the electrical connections between the wires and the element will have to be water tight, but this is not a big concern for me.
EDIT: I found this http://***********/stories/projects...t-yourself/389-build-an-electric-mash-stirrer looks promising
