I've done 5 BIAB AG brews. My efficiency seems to be improving, my first batch came in at 55%, the one today was at 78%.

I've learned a lot in these 5 brews but was curious what others efficiency is using BIAB?

Nice increase. I've only done one BIAB and was aroung 66%. Crappy LHBS crush. What did you do different to better your efficiency?

Thanks, I started running my grain through the blender. I try to do it in a way where it all doesn't turn into flour. That alone seems to be the biggest thing that improved my efficiency. Well, that and being able to control my mash temps better.

I've completed 5 BIAB this far and consistently hit 60-65% efficiency. For me, batch sparging pulls in an extra 5% efficiency. I'll be trying a double crush at the LHBS next to see what that does.

I honestly think the grain crush is a major part of it. The blender may be overkill for me, a good double crush might be all I need as well.
