Couldn't find any info on the origin of these strains, other than ECY11 being an old Brewtek strain. I recently made a wit with ECY11 and the flavor was very familiar to me. I did a saison last fall with WLP585 that had a strikingly similar yeast character. ECY is marketing it as a Belgian White while White Labs is marketing as a saison strain, though I found the strain a little too subtle/fruity for my liking in a saison. So, are they the same or just alike?
