Last few days been going back and forth on this. Spent god knows how much time reading threads. So figured I just ask :)

I think the eBAIB thing is the way to go for me. I like the fact that your continuously sparging throughout. So far I have looked at Brew Boss, Colorado , and HG Brews...

I like the BB but it seems much more expensive than the Colorado. Both have mesh filters, I def like the controller on the BB better, more blingy :) But I am sure the Colo functions perfectly fine.

I have been doing AG for a couple years now but with propane.. outdoors... sucks!

New basement brewery in the works. Has anyone built up their own eBAIB? I would need a new pot, filter combo and a controller, has anyone used the BCS 460 on this? overkill yes, but again... blingy. I just like the tablet feature but to me that seems like the only real difference. The COFI is just a mesh screen with a copper rod down the middle, copper rod is easy and Utah Biodiesel makes filters...

I mostly plan to make 10 gal batches, and a few 5. Having a shorter brewday is a plus :) plan to use a winch for the basket. easy peasy

thanks for any advice, input.

Several members have built them. Mine is a 25 gallon kettle with PID control. I use a false bottom and a bag, although I have been thinking about going to a mesh filter basket.
