Well HBT I'm finally going to upgrade my budget build a bit and that will include a new control panel.

Does anyone have a layout that they love? Even better, does anyone have changes they'd make if doing theirs again? I'm leaning towards a traditional look (Kal et al) but thought I'd check here.

PID, Element switch, Pump switch, probably no estop or master contactor since it will be on an accessible plug.

Thanks guys!

A plug is not a substitute for a switch in a high current system. It's ok to turn mA loads (like a PID) on/off by plugging/unplugging, but not a multi-amp load like a heating element. You can do this by using a Leviton 3032 switch instead of a contactor, but the aesthetics will leave something to be desired. I agree that an e-stop is not a necessity, but it is a good idea to be able to turn off both the pump and element with a single switch, and this gets you back to using at least one contactor,

Brew on :mug:
