Question:
I've been using fruits, usually pineapple for the second fermentation process in a bottle. Plus ginger. Usually after I drink the bottle, I just toss out the pineapple at the end because I feel weird about eating it after it has been used for fermentation.
Recently I am considering eating it though.
Thoughts? Do you guys normally consume fruits used for second fermentation or throw them out? Is it healthy/not healthy? Does it matter?
Thanks

It is likely more healthy than the beer itself . . . Try it and see if you like it. It will not hurt you but it will taste different than fresh fruit. The sugar will be gone.
