What's going to be the easiest way to clean out a blow off tube after you're done with it? Good soak in hot water/rinse hot water? Soak in a solution?

...Or Oxiclean

But I switch out my plastic tubing quarterly so they never get that gunked up.

I use PBW or Oxy and also give it a quick ream with a brush, like a dip tube type brush, works great!

I use four foot long 1" ID blowoffs with my carboys, and had my LHBS pick up a four foot long 1" tubing brush. It's perfect, and the "handle" is twisted stainless like carboy brushes, so it's lasted for going on four years.

Just rigged up two carboys in my ferm fridge this afternoon. Yeast orgy in progress...

Cheers!
