I got a new phone so I'm on a video kick lately.
These are videos of my latest brew day. I replaced my old immersion chiller with a plate chiller and used the old chiller to Macgyver myself a HERMS setup.
It worked beautifully.

Nice video and timely for me as I will basically be trying the same thing this weekend for the first time.

I am thinking about going down this exact route actually. I have a 25 ft IC but have recently stepped up to 10 gallon batches. Its almost useless. The only issue is money. I will need to buy a pump, plate chiller, and all the fittings to get to a HERMS. Thats at least 200 bucks.

Thanks for the info! Already having the pumps, this is a PERFECT excuse to get a plate chiller and turn the immersion chiller into a HERMS!

One question I did have...what is your inline thermometer?

Its the Blichmann inline thermometer. Most home brew stores should have it. It's about $40 if I remember correctly.

I can't say enough great things about the plate chiller. I love mine.
