I was wondering what EAC stands for. I see it under many peoples screen name.
Thanks

It's a badge of honor that every homebrewer on HBT strives for. Stupid kid wanted to raise the ABV in his beer by using sugar and when he was told that he's trying to make hooch and not beer he got all mad. Still trying to figure out how A$$ C*nt works.

To be an EAC you have to be dedicated in the quest for good Ale, you must be tenacious in teaching others about the the quest for good Ale. You should be a beer snob when it comes to commercial Ale and you must preach the good word to all those who ask. (And those who need telling) If they do not want good Ale then they are not worthy.

AND the honour is given not taken.

Amen. Many will strive to EAC status. Few will succeed.

Pretty happy being a bloody peasant. :D :drunk: :fro:

deadyetibrew, have you achieved the title of eac? I think I am still an outsider

Having only 4 ales under my belt i must say that no I don't feel i have achieved my EAC'ness yet, only for lack of experience. I enjoy a good brew, always in search of the perfect brew. I do nothing to risk my beer. I deplore it when kids try and make hooch. I've had a passion for good beer since i was young(er) and waited till i was 21 to start brewing.

So have i achieved EAC? No, but it's only a matter of time. I'm with Ize, happy being where i am. Giving help where i can and constantly learning.

There's too much pressure and responsibility being an EAC. I mean, everyone wants to be like you, and will do anything to touch you. You got the damn paprattzi (sp?) chasing you from pub to pub. They take pictures of you brewing in the privacy of your own home. It doesn't sound too fun to me!

I'm happy as a Novice...for now :D

So you wanna be an EAC superstar? Live large, big hops, five carboys, comin up in the world, don't trust nobody gotta look over your shoulder constantly.

Or
' So you wanna be a brew superstar? Live Elite, Big A$$, Five C*nts, boiling up the wort, don't trust nobody gotta malt your own barley constantly.'

Carboys just didn't seem to fit.
