i have used dry hops for the first time, and when bottling some hop particles
went through the sipho into my bottles.
i sampled the beer after a few days and it tasted great (african amber) but the hops (i stupidly siphoned :( ) did not sink.
will the hop particles develope mold over time?

I will answer your question with a question: Aside from bitter flavors, what other properties do hops impart to beer?

Hint: the answer will make you RDWHAHB. ;)

No they wont grow mold. I dry hop in the keg and crap escapes the pantyhose all the time. No problems.

To answer the other guys question...the hops are what prevents the mold and bacterial growth, that was the original purpose of the hop additions back in the day
