Dry Hops

When should I add my dry hops? I am brewing an IPA, which is in primary at the moment. I have had a few people tell me to add in the last 7 days of secondary...is this true?

What i normally do is ferment in primary for 2 weeks then dry hop for 7 days in primary. No real need for the secondary unless you want to clear the beer more.
