What is dry hopping and when should you do it?

Dry hoping is the addition of hops in the primary or secondary fermenter. This is usually done after the fermentation is done. I like to add into my secondary for 10 to 14 days. Unlike adding hops during your boil these hops will give no bittering properties and all flavor and aroma..mostly aroma. This is usually done with pale ales and IPAs.
