I've added about a half-ounce of Willamette hops to my primary yesterday which caused fermentation to lightly start again.

I'm not worried about this, but just wondered if anyone else had experienced it and had theories on possible causes, etc...

I search this forum and Google, but really couldn't find much more other than a couple of people on other forums witnessing the same thing.

A little oxygen in the hops could have woken up some stray yeaties and gotten them working a little bit. I can't see it making a substantial difference in the finished product though.

It may just be outgassing. The addition of the hops to the vessel may have introduced nucleation sites for the CO2 bubbles to form on.
