Dry Hopped Berliner Weisse - Which BJCP Category?

Hi,

I have brewed a berliner weisse and i'd like to dry hop a portion of it and enter it in competition.

My question is, which category should I enter this in?

I've tried google and had no luck. I've seen Gordon's post that fruited berliners should be entered in the fruit beer category, but nothing on hop character.

Simple answer you might not like: if it's not to a style, it likely won't do well in a competition. You can have an amazing beer, but if it doesn't conform to a style then it won't (shouldn't) score well.

I agree that it won't score well, but you could enter into the American Wild Ale category. If you want to enter your beer into competitions, brew to the style guidelines or your beer will receive low marks for not being to style.
